India vs England 2nd Test match Live: India will look to take their first innings total to at least 400 on Day 2 of the second Test against England with Yashasvi Jaiswal still unbeaten on 179. On the opening day, India had the best of the conditions to bat for themselves after captain Rohit Sharma won the toss at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Indian innings, however, did not pan out as they would have wanted. Barring Yashasvi Jaiswal, who impressed with his shot selection and temperament, none of the Indian batters were able to get to fifty, despite all of them getting a start. A lot was expected from Rohit (14), Shubman Gill (34) and Shreyas Iyer (32), but the star batters had a poor day in the office as they fell on Day 1 pitch which didn’t really have any demons in it. Debutant Rajat Patidar impressed with his knock of 32 in which he played so nice shotts including a reverse sweep but even he failed to cash in on the start. Rookie spinners Shoaib Bashir and Rehan Ahmed were the most productive bowlers for England with two wickets each. Veteran pacer James Anderson also had one wicket as he dismissed Gill, while Tom Hartley removed Iyer. Ravichandran Ashwin is at the other end with Yashasvi Jaiswal on 5 not out. India XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Rajat Patidar, Srikar Bharat, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mukesh Kumar England XI: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes (c), Ben Foakes, Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley, Shoaib Bashir, James Anderson
