After a heartbreaking defeat in the Cricket World Cup final 2023, Team India is ready to move on with a T20I series against Australia, but it’s going to take some time for the players including KL Rahul. India lost to Australia in the mega final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Expressing his feelings on social media, Team India vice-captain and wicketkeeper-batter Rahul, who had a big role in pushing Men in Blue into the final, made a post with the caption “still hurts” and added a heartbreak emoji to it.

Despite being a part-time keeper, Rahul was exceptional behind the stumps with his wicket-keeping and also handled India’s DRS review duties. He also scored 452 runs in 11 matches at an average of 75 to finish as the eighth-highest run-getter. In the final, Rahul made a gritty 66 on a spinning track but failed to convert it into a big score as the hosts were bowled out for 240. Australia’s Travis Head slammed 137 in reply as they won a record-extending sixth World Cup title.
