Around midnight on Tuesday, 14 April Vinod Kambli sent out two tweets which made him look silly but were in complete conjunction with his recent behaviour on news channels.

The tweets, which have since been deleted, were posted by Kambli's verified account @vinodkambli349.

Two tweets, which have since been deleted, were posted by Kambli's verified account @vinodkambli349. AFP

The first one said: "Garavh n rameez n sidhu going mad.siddhu Teri bak bak chup karo nahin toh aishi Teri siddhu teri Kulengaaa g**nd phaat jayaangee." (sic)

And the second one went: "Siddhu sirf saayri mein busy hai.comments koun karegaa mera baap. himmat hai toh siddhu ko bolo mera sammna kare.iski toh kar donga mein." (sic)

The below picture is confirmation of the tweets sent out, and so are the apologies Kambli later tweeted when he realised what had gone out from his account.

Kambli then apologised ('oppolo sized' according to him), saying that he had 'fired' the friend who sent out the tweets since he had his phone. One of the answers to this tweet was quite epic, asking whether his friend's name was Johnny Walker. Such jokes didn't go down well with Kambli though, and he lashed out to his detractors, saying that he was not afraid to take on any of them — citing how he has bravely played against Australia and Pakistan in international cricket.

His rally call to take on criticisers? 'Toh aah jayo maidan mein tumhari.'

Kambli recently got his account verified — and while it doesn't have many followers (3335 at the time of writing), he says that he treats them all like his friends.

Wonder whether he will be sending out any more tweets during the IPL anymore though.
