With the ICC ODI World Cup on the horizon for international cricket teams, the focus shifts to T20 World Cup next year for most of them. Before that, there is also the matter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction which will decide squads for the 17th edition of the tournament. IPL mini-auction, scheduled to take place on 19 December in Dubai, will see franchises iron out their teams for IPL 2024. There is no clarity on when the IPL will take place next year. IPL 2024 Auction:  Full list of released and retained players Ahead of the mini-auction, the IPL trade window is open which allows franchises to swap players with others or buy players outrightly in all-cash deals. The trade window will stay open until seven days prior to the mini-auction. With the trade window set to slam shut on 12 December, we take a look at what has happened so far. IPL Trades So far, three trade deals have been completed. Romario Shepherd has been the only cash-deal with Devdutt Padikkal and Avesh Khan swapping teams ahead of the upcoming season. 1. Romario Shepherd traded to Mumbai Indians from Lucknow Super Giants 2. Devdutt Padikkal traded to Lucknow Super Giants from Rajasthan Royals 3. Avesh Khan traded to Rajasthan Royals from Lucknow Super Giants 4. Shahbaz Ahmed traded to Sunrisers Hyderabad from Royal Challengers Bangalore 5. Mayank Dagar traded to Royal Challengers Bangalore from Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL Trade Rumours Hardik Pandya was linked with a return to Mumbai Indians from Gujarat Titans, but on Sunday, the last day of retention, the all-rounder was retained by GT . However, with the trading window still open, Hardik can still move back to MI.
