Kolkata Knight Riders slammed 272 runs against Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. In response, hosts Delhi could only muster 166 runs to go down by 106 runs . The result keeps KKR’s unbeaten streak going at the start of the IPL 2024 season with three wins in three matches to top the points table . Delhi, meanwhile, remain ninth with one win in four matches - only faring slightly better than Mumbai Indians who are yet to get off the mark .
Sunil Narine was pick of the KKR batters with a staggering 85 runs from 39 balls including seven fours and seven sixes. Angkrish Raghuvanshi made an incredible IPL debut with a 27-ball 54 run knock. Andre Russell slammed 41 runs from 19 balls. Rinku Singh played a cameo of 26 runs in eight balls as DC bowlers struggled. All of Delhi’s bowlers conceded 10-plus runs an over with the exception of Sumit Kumar (9.50 runs/over).
