DC did beat CSK by 20 runs on Sunday, but these are still early days in the tournament and anything can still happen.

We now take a look at some top moments from the DC-CSK game:

Prithvi Shaw makes a statement

Prithvi Shaw had scored all but 106 runs from eight matches in IPL 2023 with DC. He was also not part of the team in the first two matches of this season, but finally his time came on Sunday.

Shaw was involved in a 93-run stand with David Warner, and the young DC opener, who replaced Mitchell Marsh at the top of the order with the Aussie batting at number four, produced a brilliant 43 runs off 27 balls that had four fours and two sixes.

Three of these boundaries came against Mustafizur Rahman in the sixth over, as he helped DC post 62 in the powerplay, their highest score in this phase this season.

Pathirana to CSK’s rescue

Matheesha Pathirana’s first over did not go as planned for CSK. He bowled a couple of wides, although only four runs came off his first over. However, the defining moment for the Sri Lankan came in the 11th over when he took a one-handed stunner to dismiss David Warner off Mustafizur Rahman’s bowling.
