Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Ramandeep Singh has been fined by BCCI for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the match against Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens on Saturday. Ramandeep has been fined 20 per cent of his match fees. The exact nature of the offence has not been revealed by BCCI but news agency PTI said that “The 27-year-old committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.20 of the IPL Code of Conduct”.
Ramandeep has admitted to the offence and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction.
For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.
Ramandeep Singh scored 17 off just eight balls for KKR against MI as Kolkata secured an 18-run win in the rain-curtailed match to become the first team to qualify for playoffs in IPL 2024.
