India Women vs Australia Women: Harleen Deol comes in as concussion substitute for Sneh Rana in 2nd ODI

Harleen Deol was named as injured Sneh Rana’s concussion substitute during India’s second women’s ODI against Australia in Mumbai on Saturday.“Sneh Rana complained of headache after a collision while fielding during the second ODI against Australia. She has been taken for scans and she will not take any further part in the ongoing ODI,” the BCCI said in a statement. “Harleen Deol has been named as a concussion substitute,” the board added. During the 25th over of the Australian innings, Rana who was fielding at backward point and Pooja Vastrakar who was at short third, collided while attempting to take catch in order to dismiss Beth Mooney. Both of them were in some pain but Pooja was back on her feet soon enough. Rana, however, remained on the ground for a while before leaving the field with an ice pack on her head. Rana had bowled four overs in the Australian innings before the collision with Vastrakar, as she returned to the field and completed her 10-over spell with a solitary success in the form of Ashleigh Gardner, while giving away a total of 59 runs. India are looking to bounce back in the three-match series after having lost the first ODI by six wickets on Thursday. With PTI inputs
