The CSK all-rounder drives the ball past mid off in the fourth delivery before hammering a low full toss over long on. Dube ends the over with a four, redirecting a ball that is fired down leg. Ngava goes for 16 in what is forgettable final over. India have just one more over to go after this.

OUT! End of a fine innings from Sanju Samson, and who else but Blessing Muzarabani to collect the crucial wicket. And a superb sliding catch by Marumani near deep midwicket to complete the dismissal. Samson was looking to smash what was a slightly slower delivery from Muzarabani, but hardly got any timing or power on the shot.

SIX! Shivam Dube makes an instant impact as he gets down on one knee and swings his bat with the spin to clear the cow corner fence for a maximum! The Chennai Super Kings all-rounder doesn’t take long to get settled at the centre. SIX! Another authoritative loft from Samson that easily clears long off! Ngrava had been real miserly so far today, and Samson’s slightly spoiled it with that six.

OUT! Riyan Parag’s stay at the crease comes to an end, departing for 22 after mishitting a length ball outside off while attempting to smash it inside out down the ground. Got plenty of height, but not the distance, and Ngrava settles under the ball and ultimately completes the catch after nearly misjudging it. IND 105/4

Couple of tidy overs for the hosts, with Akram and Muzarabani going for six and four runs respectively, taking India’s score past 100. Muzarabani has been superb so far today, conceding 13 in three overs while getting the crucial wicket of Abhishek Sharma.

SIX! Smashed out of the Harare Sports Club for a 110-metre hit! Sanju Samson absolutely smokes this out of the park after Mavuta bowls one into the slot. Samson then completes fifty of the partnership with Royals teammate Parag with a maximum in the next delivery as well, this time going inside out over wide long off. 15 off Mavuta’s third over, his third on the trot. Raza had kept it tidy in the previous over, conceding five.

Both Samson and Parag collect a six off spin. Samson charges down the track to launch the ball over long on after Raza decides to bring himself back in the ninth over. Parag then pulls a half-tracker from Mavuta in the following over, with the ball landing on the roof of the building beyond deep square leg — collecting his first six in international cricket as a result. India reach 75/3 at the halfway stage with the partnership currently worth 35.

Brandon Mavuta, who replaces Tendai Chatara in the XI, is introduced into the attack after the powerplay and he concedes a single in each of his first five deliveries followed by a dot. Faraz returns in the following over after leaking 16 in the third, and concedes seven in the eighth over. That includes back-to-back doubles to Samson, the second the result of a misfield in the deep, and Sikandar Raza isn’t one bit happy about it.

End of a topsy-turvy powerplay, with India reaching 44/3 after six overs. The Men in Blue collected 15 and 16 runs in the first and third overs respectively, but find themselves in a tricky spot at the moment after losing their top three in the first six overs. Sanju Samson finds himself at the centre with Rajasthan Royals teammate Riyan Parag, and the two will be looking to steady the ship with a big partnership.
