India vs West Indies LIVE Score: India win fourth ODI by 224 runs and lead the five-match series 2-1 with one match remaining.
So that is a wrap to the fourth ODI played at the Brabourne stadium with India winning it with a massive margin. Windies will have an opportunity to square off the series in Trivandrum on Thursday, while Kohli and his boys would want to put in yet another clinical performance. We will be here providing all the LIVE scores and updates from the final ODI of the series. For now, it is time for us to say goodbye.
Rohit Sharma: Been doing some slip catching for a while. I can hear Virat there laughing. There will be catches coming your way, and it’s important to hold on to them. Not easy to read his hands, but when you play him in the nets, it’s easy to understand when he’s going to bowl the googly. Very clinical, right from the start. (On partnership with Rayudu) After losing two wickets, I mentioned this early, it was a game-changing partnership. It allowed us to stay in the game for longer. Really happy to see a dominating performance from the bowlers.
Rohit Sharma is the Man of the Match for his dazzling 162 off 137, as well as three sharp catches at slip.
Virat Kohli, India captain: Ticked all the boxes. Very clinical in all departments. Got into rhythm. We are known to bounce back and it was another example. Absolutely, Rayudu has taken the opportunity with both hands. We need to back him till the World Cup. Very smart and intelligent cricketer, who reads the game well. Khaleel is a exciting cricketer. He was pitching in the right areas and when there is something in the surface, he can make the ball talk, swinging it both ways.
Jason Holder, West Indies skipper: Well we didn’t play well. Application definitely wasn’t there. (On quick wickets) Two of our better players upfront. Set us back. (On batting up the order) Been obviously hearing it for a while. So in the next game we’ll see it.
Khaleel Ahmed: I had it in my mind that because it is a day/night game there will be moisture in the wicket and I will be able to swing it. I am working on my skills with bowling coach Bharat Arun. I had planned Samuels’ dismissal as I was getting some inswing and I kept bringing it back in before I bowled the outswinger that gave me the wicket. I get confidence by appealing, because I know it will put pressure on the batsman.
Done and dusted. Windies never looked dominating in the game. Not even once. It was India all the way. Right from the start. Disappointing effort from the visitors, who played their heart out in the last ODI.
India are rolling back again on the corridors of victory. Should have ended it way, way earlier but the lower order made sure the game stretched a bit.
India lead series 2-1. They can’t lose this one now.

India win fourth ODI by 224 runs and lead the five-match series 2-1 with one match remaining.
ALL OUT! Kuldeep Yadav takes the final wicket with the 10th-wicket stand batting more than 50 deliveries. Beautiful wrong’un to outfox Kemar Roach. Kuldeep ends with three wickets.
Roach b Kuldeep Yadav 6(27)
After 36 overs,West Indies 152/9 ( Jason Holder (C) 53 , Kemar Roach 6)
Khaleel Ahmed brought in to pick the final wicket. Another leg before appeal turned down by Anil Chaudhary and well he is spot on. The ball was pitched down the leg side. Just a couple of runs in the over.
After 35 overs,West Indies 150/9 ( Jason Holder (C) 52 , Kemar Roach 5)
Kuldeep is brought back to end the last-wicket partnership but well despite couple of leg before appeals. Holder and Roach continue. 150 up for the Windies.
After 34 overs,West Indies 147/9 ( Jason Holder (C) 51 , Kemar Roach 4)
Big leg before shout off the first ball against Holder, but umpire Anil Choudhary gave the right decision with the ball sliding down the leg side. Bumrah does trouble Roach with the ball continuing skid off the surface. Two off the over.
After 33 overs,West Indies 145/9 ( Jason Holder (C) 50 , Kemar Roach 3)
Single off the first ball of Jadeja’s over that brings up the half-century for Windies captain. Roach defends the rest of the over calmly with Jadeja trying to invite the false stroke as he kept flighting the ball
FIFTY! Jason Holder stands tall to raise his seventh half-century in ODI cricket. He continues to be an anomaly with the bat for the Windies, providing some sense of fight for his team. Very good innings.
After 32 overs,West Indies 144/9 ( Jason Holder (C) 49 , Kemar Roach 3)
Bumrah brought back to wrap things up, but Holder and Roach manage to play it out. Roach was well aware of the yorker been used at some point in the over and his alertness allows him to dig the ball out from the blockhole, giving Holder another chance to bring up his fifty.
After 31 overs,West Indies 143/9 ( Jason Holder (C) 48 , Kemar Roach 3)
Runs from Kuldeep’s over, including a boundary through covers for Holder, who moves to 48. Windies still 19 runs short of Rohit’s innings.
FOUR! Tossed up outside off and Holder drives it nicely in the gap by Jason Holder as he approaches his half-century.
After 30 overs,West Indies 134/9 ( Jason Holder (C) 42 , Kemar Roach 0)
Jadeja clearly disappointed with Dhawan’s drop catch as Holder gets another chance to bat on. Roach sees out couple of deliveries from Jadeja.
DROPPED! Holder strikes it straight to Shikhar Dhawan at covers, Dhawan went for the reverse cup with the ball being around chest high, makes a mess of it and Jadeja isn’t happy.
After 29 overs,West Indies 133/9 ( Jason Holder (C) 41 , Kemar Roach 0)
Very tidy over from Kuldeep, just a single coming off it. India is just a wicket away from taking the lead in the series.
After 28 overs,West Indies 132/9 ( Jason Holder (C) 40 , Kemar Roach 0)
Couple of lusty blows for sixes before Jadeja had Paul stumped. Kemar Roach is the last man in.
OUT! Good delivery from Jadeja to get rid of Keemo Paul and bag his first wicket. Paul pressed forward to a delivery that was angled in and turned away sharply. He dragged his feet outside the line and once he was beaten by the delivery there was never going to be enough time to get back in with MSD behind the stumps
K Paul st Dhoni b Jadeja 19(18)
SIX! Flat delivery into Paul and he goes for another slog and yet again he is able to clear the ropes successfully. Second six of the over.
SIX! BANG! Holder goes flat and straight. Clean hit the ball just sails over the ropes.
After 27 overs,West Indies 119/8 ( Jason Holder (C) 33 , Keemo Paul 13)
Another quiet over. Just three runs coming off it. Holder again gets an inside edge past his stumps for a couple.
After 26 overs,West Indies 116/8 ( Jason Holder (C) 30 , Keemo Paul 13)
Jadeja sends down a maiden to Keemo Paul. Windies still five runs away from their lowest ODI total against India.
After 25 overs,West Indies 116/8 ( Jason Holder (C) 30 , Keemo Paul 13)
Kuldeep bowling with couple of slips to Paul, who missed the chance to put away a short ball off the first delivery but didn’t fail when he was offered another opportunity off the next ball. Nine came off it.
Rohit Sharma becomes the first player to score 150-plus runs and taken three catches as a fielder in an ODI match.
SIX! Paul gets it right this time! Kuldeep had his line correct as far as he had to aim the stumps, but the length was horribly wrong. Paul muscles it over cow corner for six.
After 24 overs,West Indies 107/8 ( Jason Holder (C) 29 , Keemo Paul 5)
Couple of singles off Jadeja’s over with Holder and Paul trying to delay the inevitable.
After 23 overs,West Indies 105/8 ( Jason Holder (C) 28 , Keemo Paul 4)
More joy for Kuldeep Yadav as he dismisses Ashley Nurse. New man Kemo Paul slogs it to mid wicket fence to get off the mark. India just two wickets away.
OUT! GONE! Slightly short from Kuldeep and Nurse wanted to rock back and slash it past point but ends up getting a thick edge to Rohit Sharma at first slip. The ball flew rapidly and props to Rohit to cling on. Nurse in immense pain walks back with eight runs to his name
Nurse c Rohit b Kuldeep Yadav 8(13)
After 22 overs,West Indies 101/7 ( Jason Holder (C) 28 , Ashley Nurse 8)
In between overs, Nurse gulps down couple of painkillers (no pun intended there). Jadeja has been brought back into the attack. Helmet-less Holder plays a few aerial shots to take Windies past the 100-run mark.
SIX! Jason Holder fetches the ball from outside the off stump and lofts it high over long on boundary for a six.
Just three wickets India away from victory. Holder and Nurse playing the waiting game literally. They are playing in the moment and not looking at the target at all. Kohli and Dhoni had a long chat in the middle. It seems MS wants to give another go to Khaleel. India looking to wrap things up. Jadeja has been given the ball.
After 21 overs,West Indies 90/7 ( Jason Holder (C) 18 , Ashley Nurse 7)
Eventful over from Kuldeep as Windies take 11 runs off it. Couple of braces and three leg byes as Nurse misses his sweep and the ball going through the gap between Dhoni and Rohit at first slip. Nurse in some visible pain as he continues to grimace with a passage of every delivery.
FOUR! Nurse gets low quickly to play the sweep shot to square leg boundary. However, as soon as he played the shot, he was seen holding his right shoulder that has been troubling him since he send down his second over.
After 20 overs,West Indies 79/7 ( Jason Holder (C) 16 , Ashley Nurse 1)
Bumrah’s search for his first wicket continues as he sends down his sixth over of the match. Couple of singles of the over with Nurse getting off the mark. Windies need 299. India three wickets away.
After 19 overs,West Indies 77/7 ( Jason Holder (C) 15 , Ashley Nurse 0)
Alright, so short spell rotation not only restricted to fast bowlers, Kohli deploying the same plan of action for spinners as well. Kuldeep is brought into the attack, replacing Jaddu. Almost has a wicket off his second ball, with Holder going for a big drive to a flighted delivery outside off, gets an inside edge that goes past his stumps. He didn’t have to wait long for a wicket as three balls later he got rid of Fabian Allen. Ashley Nurse walks in at number nine.
OUT! Kuldeep Yadav picks a wicket in his first over! Fabian Allen misreads the googly, like so many of his countrymen have done during their tour and not many cricketers around the globe has had issues picking Kuldeep up, especially when they are relatively new against the left-arm wrist spinner. Tossed up delivery on off stump, going away, Allen playing inside the line of the ball, gets an outside edge to first slip, where Rohit clings on to a smart catch.
Fabian Allen c Rohit b Kuldeep Yadav 10(17)
After 18 overs,West Indies 72/6 ( Jason Holder (C) 12 , Fabian Allen 8)
Kohli opting for a different strategy today. Four over spells for his fast bowler as Ahmed is replaced by Bumrah after bowling his first spell that yielded him three wickets. Perhaps not straining his pacers in the heat and with the outcome of the match heavily tilted in their favour. Allen collects his first boundary off the innings as Bumrah’s fist over of a new spell goes for seven.
FOUR! Touch full from Bumrah, just outside off and Allen drives it through covers for his first boundary.
After 17 overs,West Indies 65/6 ( Jason Holder (C) 10 , Fabian Allen 3)
Jadeja kept it flat and slightly outside the line of off stump until he pushed a slider angling into Allen. Raps him on the pads but was perhaps going down with the angle. Another three-run over.
After 16 overs,West Indies 62/6 ( Jason Holder (C) 8 , Fabian Allen 2)
Khaleel Ahmed continues to bring the ball back into the right hander. Holder and Allen work away three singles off the over. Allen attempts a flashy cut with minimal footwork and misses.
After 15 overs,West Indies 59/6 ( Jason Holder (C) 6 , Fabian Allen 1)
Jadeja quickly slips a tidy over with some excitement off the final ball as he gets some turn to beat Fabian Allen. Dhoni whips the bails but he had his back leg safely grounded behind the popping crease. Three singles off it.
After 14 overs,West Indies 56/6 ( Jason Holder (C) 4 , Fabian Allen 0)
Another excellent over from Khaleel. His third over and we are writing this for the third time. He has picked a wicket in each of these three overs. Got Samuels out in the slips in this over with fullish outswinging delivery.
Fabian Allen comes out to bat.
Time for drinks.
This is getting over quicker than expected. Windies are in shambles. Resurrection seems too difficult from here. 6 down now and looking at the rock bottom of the earth as they continue falling. Indians can gift themselves an early finish. 4 more to go. Question is for how long will Windies fight?
OUT! Khaleel is on fire here. A full, outside off delivery which moved away from Samuels as he edged it to Rohit Sharma in slips.
Samuels c Rohit b Khaleel Ahmed 18(23)
After 13 overs,West Indies 55/5 ( Marlon Samuels 18 , Jason Holder (C) 3)
Three runs from the over. Holder collects two singles while Samuels gets one. There was a stumping appeal on the third delivery against Holder but his leg was grounded well in the crease.
Lowest score for Winides in ODIs:
v India: 121, Port of Spain, 1997
in India: 123, Kolkata, 1993
After 12 overs,West Indies 52/5 ( Marlon Samuels 17 , Jason Holder (C) 1)
Another good over for Khaleel. He’s got two in two now. A full delivery that moved back in off the deck helped him to uproot Powell’s stumps. Samuels finished the over with a four over mid-on.
FOUR! Samuels slaps Khaleel’s full delivery over mid-on for a boundary.
OUT! Ahmed gets Powell out. Bowled. Full delivery which moved back in off the deck and crashed on to the stumps of a driving Powell.
Powell b Khaleel Ahmed 1(9)
After 11 overs,West Indies 47/4 ( Marlon Samuels 13 , Rovman Powell 1)
Good start for Jadeja. Just two runs conceded. Samuels collected a single with a drive through cover followed by single for Powell in the mid-wicket region.
Ravindra Jadeja comes into attack.
After 10 overs,West Indies 45/4 ( Marlon Samuels 12 , Rovman Powell 0)
Excellent first over from Khaleel. He found the outside edge of Hetmyer on the first ball but it fell short of Dhoni followed by a double and then on the third delivery got him out LBW. Two runs off it.
West Indies going nowhere. Wickets keep on tumbling. They have lost two in run out. You cannot afford to do that when you are chasing 378.
Khaleel has got himself a wicket here in the very first over and he almost hurt Jadeja while celebrating aggressively. Kohli is now cheering the crowd up like he usually does when the team is at the top.
Rovman Powell comes out to bat.
OUT! Khaleel gets India the big wicket. In-form Hetmyer is walking back. The ball came back in with the angle to hit Hetmyer’s pads.
Hetmyer lbw b Khaleel Ahmed 13(11)
Khaleed Ahmed comes into attack.
After 9 overs,West Indies 43/3 ( Marlon Samuels 12 , Shimron Hetmyer 11)
Two fours for Samuels in the over. A beautiful punch on the first delivery through cover for a boundary followed by two singles and a four on the last delivery through a flick on mid-wicket. 10 runs off it.
FOUR! Nothing wrong with the delivery. Slightly short on the pads, which Samuel flicks through the gap between mid-wicket and mid-on.
FOUR! Back of the length delivery, slightly outside off and Samuels punches it through the gap between point and cover.
After 8 overs,West Indies 33/3 ( Marlon Samuels 3 , Shimron Hetmyer 10)
Nine runs from the over as Hetmyer gets in his groove. A single from Samuels is followed by two fours from Hetmyer. One on the off through cover and another through mid-wicket in the leg.
FOUR! Poor delivery from Bumrah. Fullish, on the pads and Hetmyer flicks it through mid-wicket
FOUR! Slightly short, Hetmyer moves backwards to create room and lifts it over cover for a boundary.
After 7 overs,West Indies 24/3 ( Marlon Samuels 2 , Shimron Hetmyer 2)
Just one from it as Samuels directs the final ball of the over to third man. A much better over from Bhuvi as he keeps it tight.
After 6 overs,West Indies 23/3 ( Marlon Samuels 1 , Shimron Hetmyer 2)
Another run out for Windies and they are now three down chasing the mammoth total. The confusion between Samuels and Powell led to the removal of the opener followed by a single towards third man for Samuels and a double for Hetmyer towards mid-wicket.
Shimron Hetmyer’s last five ODI scores:
37, 94, 106, 30, 125
He will surely be under pressure.
Shimron Hetmyer comes out to bat.
OUT! Another great fielding effort helps India remove Powell. Samuels played a defensive shot which was followed by a confusion between him and Powell, who had set off for a single. Kohli was quick to reach the ball and flick to the stumps while Powell was too far to return back in time.
Powell run out (Kohli) 4(12)
After 5 overs,West Indies 20/2 ( Kieran Powell 4 , Marlon Samuels 0)
Just the over Bhuvi needed. A maiden with two wickets as result of two great fielding efforts. First Rayudu timed his jump perfectly to catch Hemraj’s lofted drive at cover and then Kuldeep hit the stumps with a direct throw to remove Hope.
India get their two breakthroughs in one over and more importantly one of them has fallen in kitty of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He has looked below par in this series and would want some luck to go his way. Right away, Bhuvi starts landing ball on the good length.
Windies hopes are dented now after the run out of Hope who was in one hell of a form at the moment. Getting more tougher now for visitors.
Marlon Samuels comes out to bat.
OUT! Kuldeep gets Hope run out with a direct hit. Hope nudged it to mid-on and set off for a single but Kuldeep was too quick for him as he picked it up sharply and returned a direct hit.
Shai Hope run out (Kuldeep Yadav) 0(2)
Shai Hope in this ODI series so far: 32, 123*, 95
Will he continue his good form with the bat?
Shai Hope comes out to bat.
OUT! It was wide of off and Hemraj slashed it hard but Rayudu timed his jump perfectly to take the catch at cover.
Hemraj c Rayudu b Bhuvneshwar 14(16)
After 4 overs,West Indies 20/0 ( Chandrapaul Hemraj 14 , Kieran Powell 4)
Maiden over for Bumrah but India have lost their review. Bumrah managed to get one past the gap between pad and bat, there was some noise but the umpire gave it not out as Indian reviewed. Replays showed there was some noise but that of hitting the thigh.
After 3 overs,West Indies 20/0 ( Chandrapaul Hemraj 14 , Kieran Powell 4)
Expensive over from Bhuvi as 11 come off it. He started well with four dot balls but then lost his line as he was tonked for a four and a six.
SIX! Another shot delivery and Hemraj cracks this one high and over mid-wicket for a maximum.
FOUR! A bit short, width offered and Hemraj slaps it through cover for a boundary.
After 2 overs,West Indies 9/0 ( Chandrapaul Hemraj 4 , Kieran Powell 4)
Just a single from the over. Hemraj nudges Bumrah to mid-wicket on the third ball to take a single, which was followed by an appeal for LBW as Powell tried to play a pull but inside edge saved him.
India could not touch the 400 run mark but this is still a big score. 378 is a massive target to chase for Windies who looked lackluster to Sharma for them? They can only HOPE.
Jasprit Bumrah comes into attack.
After 1 overs,West Indies 8/0 ( Chandrapaul Hemraj 3 , Kieran Powell 4)
Eight runs from the over. Bhuvi found the leading edge of Hemraj on the third ball but it fell just short of Kohli at cover. Hemraj followed that with a double in the same region with a forward push followed by a wide and a single. Powell finished the over with a four towards mid-wicket with a pull.
FOUR! A bit short from Bhuvneshwar and Powell lifts it towards deep mid-wicket to get off the mark.
Chandrapaul Hemraj, Kieran Powell come out to bat. Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bowl the first over. Hemraj on strike.

Rohit Sharma (162 off 137 balls): (On expectations of crossing 200 everytime he brings up a century) That’s a lot of expectations. We wanted to post a good target, because a batting line up like West Indies, they play unpredictable cricket. CCI is a high-scoring ground, and I don’t know what’s the par score here. We never understood what will be the ideal target. Grown up playing cricket in Mumbai, and more so in CCI, understand the pace and bounce here. I wasn’t trying to hit too hard. We know the runs will come here once you’re set. Once you cross hundred, it’s you making a mistake and getting out. I kept telling myself: I just need to do as the pitch is good, and not play any extravagant shot. The only aim is to see how far I go and to ensure the team gets into a good position.
After 50 overs,India 377/5 ( Kedar Jadhav 16 , Ravindra Jadeja 7)
Jadeja collects a single off the first ball. Jadhav slashes a slower ball from Paul off the next delivery to collect his second boundary. Both Jadeja and Jadhav help themselves to a boundary each off the remaining deliveries, as India finish on a tall score at the end of the innings! 116 runs collected off the last 10 overs!
West Indies need 378 to win the fourth one-dayer!
FOUR! Jadhav finishes the Indian innings with a hit down the ground for a four! IND 377/5
FOUR! Another slower ball from Paul, and Jadeja pulls this one towards the square-leg fence to collect his first boundary! IND 372/5
FOUR! Slower ball from Paul, and Jadhav slashes this over backward point to collect his second boundary. IND 367/5
Keemo Paul to bowl the final over.
After 49 overs,India 362/5 ( Kedar Jadhav 7, Ravindra Jadeja 1)
Dhoni cuts a slow bouncer from Roach at the start of the over to collect a double. Dhoni miscues a slog, sending the ball high in the air, only for Allen to put down a tough chance at extra cover. Dhoni, though, departs off the next ball after flicking a full delivery straight into the hands of Hemraj at short fine. Jadeja walks out, and gets off the mark right away. Jadhav ends the over with a boundary. 11 off the over. Can India finish on a strong note in the final over?
FOUR! Jadhav smacks a full-toss over extra cover to collect his first boundary! IND 362/5
The last Indian No.4 batsman before Rayudu to score a century in ODIs was Yuvraj Singh. He did it against England at Cuttack in 2017.
OUT! Another low score for Dhoni after getting off to a good start! He picks out the man at short fine-leg while looking to flick a full delivery pitched a leg. IND 355/5
Dhoni c Hemraj b Roach 23(15)
After 48 overs,India 351/4 ( MS Dhoni (W) 19 , Kedar Jadhav 3)
Terrific collect-and-throw by Allen results in Rayudu’s run-out at the start of his eighth over. Dhoni guides the ball towards deep cover off the next ball for a double. Singles off the next two deliveries, with new batsman Kedar Jadhav off the mark. KJ collects a double off the last ball to bring up the 350 for India. Seven runs and a run-out off the over.

Rayudu run out (Allen) 100(81)
After 47 overs,India 344/3 ( Ambati Rayudu 100 , MS Dhoni (W) 15)
Keemo Paul returns to the attack, and starts his over off with a beamer, which is adjudged a no-ball. Rayudu hits the free-hit towards wide long on, where the fielder cuts the ball off, giving the batsman a brace. Singles off the next three deliveries — with the third bringing up Rayudu’s hundred. Dhoni, who gets struck on his left wrist while collecting a quick single, gets a spray on the affected area from physio Patrick Farhart. Back-to-back boundaries off the last two balls.
Dhoni is literally playing with one arm. Rayudu took a risky single to get to his hundred and throw to strikers end hit Dhoni on one arm. His fingers are hurting even after physio intervention. He has hit two boundaries with those … Can he keep 50 overs with the injury?
FOUR! Back-to-back boundaries for Dhoni now, this one dispatched towards fine-leg! IND 344/3
FOUR! Driven through square on the off-side by Dhoni, as he collects his first boundary! IND 340/3
CENTURY for Ambati Rayudu — his third in one-dayers! Brings up the century off just 80 balls, collecting a single to get to the milestone. There’s a look of relief plastered all over Rayudu’s face after he brings up the milestone, and this innings should now make him a favourite for the No 4 spot. IND 336/3
Keemo Paul brought back for the slog overs.
After 46 overs,India 330/3 ( Ambati Rayudu 96 , MS Dhoni (W) 6)

Rohit departs. Spin has worked for Windies. Three dot balls created pressure and Rohit gave in. Sharp catch too to get rid of Hitman. Was not a double ton but one of the best he has hit in his career. Did not look in any trouble whatsoever, played shots everywhere. For now, Dhoni comes to the crease and he might be out of form but gets a rousing welcome from the crowd. DHONI DHONI chant everywhere.
After 44 overs,India 313/3 ( Ambati Rayudu 85 , MS Dhoni (W) 1)
Nurse brought back into the attack, although that doesn’t deter Rohit from slogging him over long on for a six. Nurse, though, has the last laugh as Rohit gets caught by Hemraj at short third man off a thick outside edge, walking back to the dressing room with a score of 162 against his name. MS Dhoni walks out to bat, and gets off the mark with a single first ball. Nine runs and a wicket off the over.

Ashley Nurse brought back into the attack in the 44th over, with Windies desperately looking to stifle the marauding batsmen at the crease.
Runs continue to flow for India. Interesting to see who gets to their respective milestone first. Rohit to his double hundred. Or Rayudu to his hundred. Phew, what a partnership this has been. Windies bring spinners back to take pace off the ball. Will that help, let’s wait and watch.
After 43 overs,India 304/2 ( Rohit Sharma 156 , Ambati Rayudu 84)
Holder returns to the attack, and gets clobbered for a six by Rayudu first ball. Rohit then paddles the ball over short fine off the fourth delivery to bring up his 150, as well as the team 300. Rohit then guides the ball towards the deep backward point boundary off the last delivery for a four, bringing up the 200-run partnership! 15 off the over.

FOUR! Effortless! Simply effortless from Rohit, as he drives a full-toss from Paul through cover! IND 287/2
Alright so last 10 overs to go. Hosts look all set for a massive score. As I wrote this, Rohit dispatched one into the stands. Rayudu too eyeing a ton for himself. Has batted extremely well today, picked singles and hit the boundaries every now and then. This partnership is taking the game away from Windies.. they need a wicket but no one’s raising the hand in air to get one. Mind you, Rohit looks all set for another, ahem, double hundred
SIX! Rohit waited for that one, and pulled it into the stands beyond the midwicket fence! His third big hit this innings! IND 283/2
Most sixes for India in ODIs:

SIX! Stand-and-deliver from Rohit, as he smacks the ball over long off to collect his second big hit! IND 260/2
This is India’s highest third wicket stand against Windies in ODIs, going past 139 runs stand between Virat Kohli and Ambati Rayudu at Visakhapatnam in 2018.

SIX! Samuels is extended a rough welcome by Rayudu, who smacks the ball over his head, all the way to the sight screen for a six. IND 233/2
Marlon Samuels — the man who had inflicted a body blow to the Indians by dismissing Virat Kohli at Pune — is brought into the attack in the 38th over.
It would be interesting to see what happens if a wicket falls here. The crowd wants Dhoni as I can hear some fans discussing his recent form and want him next.
Meanwhile fifty for Rayudu as well. That No 4 conundrum is fading away slowly. Windies players on the other hand look sapped, thanks to the heat. The humidity has increased here as much as the temperature has gone down.
After 37 overs,India 227/2 ( Rohit Sharma 112 , Ambati Rayudu 52)
Rayudu collects a single off the second delivery to bring up his 10th ODI half-century. Remains to be seen if he can convert it into a three-figure score to seal the No 4 spot for himself or not. Five off the over.
FIFTY for Ambati Rayudu — his 10th in one-day internationals! Unlike Rohit’s ton, he brings up the milestone with a single after guiding the ball wide of mid off. IND 223/2

Allen continues from the other end, with the two batsmen showing a lot more confidence after drinks. Four singles off the over, with Rayudu inching towards his half-century now.
Hundred for Rohit. Unfortunately for Windies, he has only begun. He lives with that reputation in ODIs. The three double tons are a testament to the same. On the other end, Rayudu has also begun to open arms. Clearly, the message from dressing room was to up the run-scoring. Standing ovation from the crowd as he raises Rohit raises his arm.

After 32 overs,India 192/2 ( Rohit Sharma 96 , Ambati Rayudu 33)
Rayudu shuffles forward at the start of the over, and lofts the ball down the ground to collect his first six. Single collected off each of the remaining deliveries of the over, with 11 coming off it.
Rohit nearing second ton in this series. This is the time he peaks and then there is no stopping.
Windies, unlike, the last match have not been able to contain the batsmen from scoring freely. Rayudu took his own sweet time to settle in and now looking to make powerful strokes. Evident from the fact that in the first fifty runs scored between the two, Rohit made bulk of the scoring. Rayudu is at ease now.

After 26 overs,India 141/2 ( Rohit Sharma 63 , Ambati Rayudu 15)
Rohit cuts the ball towards deep extra cover off the third delivery, coming back for a second run. Appeal for stumping against Rayudu off the last delivery, with Hope showing quick reflexes behind the stump. Rayudu though, manages to plant his backfoot behind the line just in time. Four off the over.
Fifty for the local boy, Rohit Sharma. He has scored this at the typical Rohit Sharma-pace. Big threat for Windies. It seems we are back to 90s and early 2000s. If Tendulkar did not get you, Ganguly would. Now, if Kohli does not get you, Rohit will. About Windies they get him out here. Their bowling has not been great. Eight extras this far including four wides.
After 25 overs,India 137/2 ( Rohit Sharma 60 , Ambati Rayudu 15)

No.4: 45.66
He has to play a big innings today and justify his selection.
After 22 overs,India 124/2 ( Rohit Sharma 55 , Ambati Rayudu 7)
