Bavuma was hobbling midway while chasing the ball through extra cover and managed to save the boundary and returned the ball to the wicketkeeper. However, he still looked in discomfort and was helped off the field by the physio.

Former captain Dean Elgar, who will retire from international cricket post this series, stood in for Bavuma as the skipper.

India were 190/7 at the time of writing this report, with KL Rahul having scored an unbeaten fifty. Kagiso Rabada claimed a five-fer whereas Nandre Burger has picked up two wickets so far.
