India vs Pakistan, World Cup 2023: Special superfast trains to run from Mumbai to Ahmedabad for mega clash

A couple of special superfast trains will be operated between Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad stations for the much-anticipated India-Pakistan World Cup match.

The ongoing ODI World Cup has created much buzz among the cricket enthusiasts in the country. The Indian cricket team, being the hosts, have seen a huge number of fans throng the stadiums all over the country. Pakistan have been one of India’s biggest rivals when it comes to cricket. This time too, cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the high-octane India-Pakistan World Cup clash scheduled to be played this weekend. World Cup 2023: News | Schedule | Results | Points table As India are all set to lock horns with neighbouring Pakistan, the Western Railway has come up with a surprise to cater to the rush of people attending the World Cup fixture. A couple of special superfast trains will be operated between Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad station for the high voltage encounter between the two neighbouring nations. The fixture is slated to take place on Saturday, 14 October at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. According to a release by Western Railway, the Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad superfast special train will depart at 9.30 pm on Friday and will reach its destination at 5.30 am on the next day. On the other hand, the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central special train will leave Ahmedabad at 4 am on Sunday and it will arrive at Mumbai Central at 12.10 pm on the same day. Tickets for both the trains can be booked on and from today, 12 October at all PRS counters and on the IRCTC website. The release added that a ‘special fare’ will be charged for these trains. “The trains will be a great bonanza for cricket fans to witness the India-Pakistan match,” the Western Railway noted. The official statement further added that these special trains will have AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper class and general second class coaches. They will halt at Dadar, Borivali, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surat and Vadodara stations in both directions. Train Details - Train No. 09013 Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Superfast Special Train: Departure - On 13 October at 21:30 hours from Mumbai Central Arrival - On 14 October at 05.30 at Ahmedabad Train No. 09014 Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Superfast Special Train: Departure - On 15 October at 04.00 hours from Ahmedabad Arrival - On 15 October at 12.10 hours at Mumbai Central
