- Mohammed Shami needs just one more wicket to go past Anil Kumble’s record of 31 scalps in ODI World Cups. Kumble had finished his World Cup career with 31 wickets from 18 games.
- Shubman Gill is just 14 runs away from becoming the quickest to 2000 runs in ODI cricket. Hashim Amla is the current holder of that record, having taken 40 innings to do so. Gill currently has 1,986 runs from 37 innings.
