After two months of intense cricketing action in the five-day format, Team India shifts its focus to white-ball cricket starting with a five-match T20I series against England. That will be followed by a three-match ODI series against the same team followed by the all-important ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan and UAE .
India have produced less-than-satisfactory results in the Test assignments against New Zealand and Australia, suffering a historic 0-3 whitewash against the Black Caps at home followed by a 1-3 defeat Down Under , with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy slipping out of their grasp as a result.
The Men in Blue therefore, will be eager to put a smile back on the faces of their millions of fans. And while India experienced mixed fortunes in Tests and ODIs, they were the standout team in Twenty20 Internationals – winning 24 out of 26 games and being crowned T20 world champions in Barbados in June.
