India vs England: Visakhapatnam weather forecast and pitch report ahead of second Test

After a defeat in the first Test against England, Team India will look to bounce back when they take part in the second match. The second Test is scheduled to start on Friday, 2 February in Visakhapatnam. India went down to England in the first match by 28 runs after a valiant effort by Ollie Pope, who scored 196. England set India a target of 231 runs and then Tom Hartley stepped up and picked up seven wickets to stun the hosts. Visakhapatnam has already hosted one Test match between India and England back in 2016 where on the back of a superb Virat Kohli century, the hosts claimed a victory by 246 runs. In the only other Test at this venue, India secured a convincing 203-run win against South Africa in 2019. England have already named their playing XI for the second Test match. Shoaib Bashir, the uncapped off-spinner, has replaced Jack Leach while James Anderson comes into the side replacing Mark Wood. India have decisions to make regarding their playing XI with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul  ruled out due to injury issues. India vs England: Visakhapatnam weather forecast As far as the weather forecast for Visakhapatnam is concerned, teams will be playing in consistently warm conditions, with maximum temperatures ranging between 32-34 degrees Celsius during the match days. There is a slight chance of rain on the third day, but it might not be enough to deny a result. Humidity level is also expected to be high during the second Test between India and England. India vs England, 2nd Test: Visakhapatnam pitch report If the two matches that have been played at the venue are taken into consideration, the pitch in Visakhapatnam is the ‘perfect Test venue’. The venue is expected to help batters and the spinners can prove to be a key factor later in the game. There is also reverse swing on offer for the fast bowlers.
