India vs England: Jasprit Bumrah cleans up Ben Duckett after being refused DRS for LBW; Watch

India pacer Jasprit Bumrah was able to change his fortunes on Day three of the first Test against England in Hyderabad on Saturday. In the 16th over of England’s second innings, Bumrah seemingly dismissed Ben Duckett LBW. It was a length ball that got Duckett hit on the back pad, but the on-field umpire wasn’t interested and said not out. Captain Rohit Sharma had a brief discussion with wicketkeeper KS Bharat, but decided to go against the review since it went down the leg. However, replays and Hawkeye confirmed that the ball would have hit leg stump, and that it would have done India big favour had they gone for the review. However, Bumrah would make amends for that missed opportunity with the wicket of Duckett in the 19th over, cleaning him up for 47. It was an inswinging length ball from Bumrah and Duckett looked to go for the drive, but ended up getting beaten on the inside edge as the ball crashed the off-stump.

India resumed the third day from their overnight score of 421/7, but were dismissed for 436, which meant that they had a 190-run lead. At the time of writing this report, England were 219/5 in the second innings, with a lead of 28. Ben Foakes (19*) and Ollie Pope (87*) were batting in the middle.
