India vs England 3rd T20I Highlights: Suryakumar-led Team India will look to seal the T20I series against England with two games to spare, when the two teams lock horns in the third game of the five-match series at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on Tuesday (28 January).
India won the first T20I in Kolkata by seven wickets on 22 January and the Men in Blue followed it up with a two-wicket win in Chennai three days later. England were all out for 132 in the first match after India opted to bowl, and the Men in Blue chased down the target with seven wickets to spare, with Abhishek Sharma top-scoring with 79 runs.
India once again won the toss and opted to field in the second T20I, and this time, England out up a much improved performance with the bat. Skipper Jos Buttler top-scored with 45 runs, whereas Jamie Smith (22) and Brydon Carse (31) played vital cameos.
However, a total of 165/9 was never going to be enough for the visitors. India lost Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav in the powerplay, but an unbeaten knock of 72 from Tilak Varma and a vital innings of 26 from Washington Sundar led the hosts to a two-wicket win. England need to win the third T20I to keep the series alive.
