Virat Kohli's on Saturday completed 1,000 Test runs in Australia to become the fourth Indian batsman to achieve the feat. He reached the landmark on day three of the first Test at Adelaide.
The other batsmen to achieve the feat are Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid.
Tendulkar leads the chart with 1,809 runs followed by Laxman, who has 1,236 runs to his name in Australia while Dravid scored 1,166 runs.
Sehwag also scored 1031 runs in Australia but 83 of them came while playing for ICC World XI.
Kohli, however, is the fastest Indian to reach 1000-run mark in Australia. He reached there in 18 Tests. The previous fastest was Laxman, who brought up 1,000 runs in 19 matches.

Meanwhile, with a score of 34 on Saturday, Kohli also became the first Indian captain to score 2,000 Test runs away from home. He now has 2,000 runs in Tests at both home and away as a captain. On Day 3 of Adelaide Test, Kohli also earned an undesired record. With his wicket on the third day, Nathan Lyon became the most successful bowler against the Indian batsman. Kohli has got out to the off-spinner six times in his career.
India finished Day 3 on 151/3, leading Australia by 166 runs.
