India vs Afghanistan, World Cup 2023: Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi Weather and Pitch Report

Rohit Sharma-led India will now take on Afghanistan after a comprehensive win over Australia in their first match of the World Cup 2023. On the other hand, Afghanistan come into this match after a defeat at the hands of their Asian rivals, Bangladesh. India, viewed as one of the top contenders for the title, were excellent with the ball in Chennai as they dismissed Australia for a mere 199 runs. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli overcame an initial stutter and guided the team to a comfortable victory with nine overs to spare at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

In contrast, Afghanistan struggled, posting a modest 156 runs. Bangladesh then chased this down with six wickets in hand and 15.2 overs to spare at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala.
