That will give the likes of Shivam Dube, who had a forgettable outing against Pakistan on Sunday in his maiden World Cup innings, the chance to justify his selection for the mega event. Also eager to return to form on Wednesday will be Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav, who have had forgettable outings so far in the tournament.
“We will bowl first. It has played better in the last two games, but you need to assess the conditions quickly and then let the game take over. It’s all about constantly getting better and keeping the momentum going. It’s important to do the right things. That was a great game to play, we didn’t have enough runs on the board, but the bowlers came to the party and won the game for us. We’re playing the same team,” Rohit said at the toss.

The Americans, however, suffered a blow ahead of the 25th match of the tournament with wicketkeeper-captain Monank Patel missing out due to left shoulder injury, with middle-order batter Aaron Jones filling in as the skipper in his absence.
The United States made two changes to their XI; while Shayan Jahangir replaced Patel at the top of the order, Shadley van Schalkwyk replaced Nosthush Kenjige — who had collected 3/30 against Pakistan in Dallas in their previous outing.

The camp is very positive, just looking to play some good cricket. Shayan Jahangir replaces Monank and Shadley is in for Nosthush,” Jones spoke at the toss ahead of the match against India.
Both India and USA are unbeaten so far in the tournament, and the winner of Wednesday’s clash at the Nassau County International Stadium will join South Africa and Australia among teams qualified for the Super 8s. This will be the first time the two teams will be facing off in any format of the sport.
The match will also be the final fixture of the tournament in New York City, where all the matches have been low-scoring affairs with a lot of those games ending in thrilling fashion.
