India handed debut to fast bowler Akash Deep in the fourth Test against England which started on 23 February at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi. The Bengal pacer is replacing Jasprit Bumrah in India’s playing XI as the senior cricketer has been rested to manage his workload. This is the only change India made to its playing XI.

Meanwhile, England have won the toss and opted to bat first in Ranchi Test. They have made two changes with Ollie Robinson and Shoaib Bashir coming in for Mark Wood and Rehan Ahmed.
