ICC Under-19 World Cup 2024: All you need to know about fixtures, venues, groups, squads, live streaming

ICC Under-19 World Cup 2024: The ICC event starts on January 19 in South Africa and India will begin their campaign on 20 January.

ICC Under-19 World Cup 2024: All you need to know about fixtures, venues, groups, squads, live streaming

The Under-19 ICC Cricket World Cup is scheduled to start on January 19 in South Africa. India will kick off their campaign on Saturday, January 20 with a match against Bangladesh. Placed in Group A, the India U-19 team find themselves pooled along with Ireland, the USA and Bangladesh. After the opening match, India will take on Ireland on January 25 and the USA on January 28. India U-19’s all-group stage fixtures will take place in Bloemfontein. Here are the groups: Group A: India U19s, Bangladesh U19s, Ireland U19s, USA U19s Group B: England U19s, Scotland U19s, South Africa U19s, West Indies U19s Group C: Australia U19s, Namibia U19s, Sri Lanka U19s, Zimbabwe U19s Group D: Afghanistan U19s, Nepal U19s, New Zealand U19s, Pakistan U19s When are the group stage matches being played? The group stage fixtures will start with Ireland U-19 facing USA on January 19. The group stage matches will go on till January 28. What after the group fixtures? The competition will be played in the Super Sixes format. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Sixes stage. Overall, 12 teams will progress to the Super Sixes stage, where they will be evenly distributed into two groups comprising six teams each. How are Super Sixes fixtures decided: In the Super Sixes stage, a total of 12 games will be contested. Group 1 Fixtures: In the Group 1 fixtures, the top team from Group A (A1) will be involved in two matches against the second and third-placed teams from Group D- D2 and D3. The second-placed team from Group A (A2) will take on D1 and D3. The third-placed team from Group A (A3) will compete in two matches against the top two teams from Group D- D1 and D2. Group 2 Fixtures: The top team from Group B (B1) will take part in two matches against the second and third-placed teams from Group C- C2 and C3. The second-placed team from Group B (B2), will take on C1 and C3, while the third-placed team from Group B (B3) will engage in two matches against the top two teams from Group C- C1 and C2). Date: The Super Sixes stage will start with Group 1 match between A1 and D3 on January 30 and it will end with Group 2 match between B2 against C3 on February 3. What after Super Sixes? Two teams from each Super Sixes group will advance to the semi-finals. When will the semi-finals be played? The two semi-finals will be played on February 6 and February 8. When is the final of the ICC U19 World Cup? The final of the ICC U-19 World Cup will be on February 11. What are the different venues for the ICC U19 World Cup? The two semi-finals and the final will take place in Benoni, South Africa. The Super Sixes games will be played in Bloemfontein, Kimberley, and Potchefstroom apart from Benoni. The group stage fixtures will take place in Bloemfontein, Kimberley, and Potchefstroom with East London being the fourth venue. ICC U19 World Cup 2024 TV Broadcast and LIVE Streaming: The ICC U19 World Cup 2024 in India will be broadcast on Star Sports Network TV channels.
