Are Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic getting a divorce? Here’s everything you need to know

Hardik Pandya is making headlines once again, and once again it’s not for the right reasons.

The all-rounder had a woeful start to his reign as Mumbai Indians captain with the five-time champions finishing at the bottom of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) points table with just four runs in 14 matches. Pandya, additionally, had also struggled with bat and ball for a majority of the season, which is a worrying sign for Indian cricket fans given he will be serving as vice-captain in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

This time, however, Pandya’s in the news not for his on-field performances or the lack of it, but for reasons that have little to do with the sport.

According to the multiple reports as well as rumours on social media, Pandya’s marriage with Serbian model and actor Natasa Stankovic isn’t just going through a rough patch at the moment, it appears to be a sinking ship with a divorce appearing imminent at present. There are also those who believe that the two, who had tied the knot in May 2020 and have a three-year-old son Agastya, have already parted ways without announcing it to the public. .

Netizens began to speculate that something wasn’t right between the two after Natasa had removed the surname ‘Pandya’ from her Instagram handle, going back to ‘Natasa Stankovic’ while also deleting several of her pictures with husband Hardik.

The claim that she had deleted all of her pictures with Hardik turned out to be untrue; her account still has a lot of pictures in which the two are seen alongside other family members including son Agastya, along with a picture or two containing only the reportedly divorced couple.

Natasa, additionally, was not seen attending any of MI’s matches in IPL 2024 nor did she wish her husband on her birthday on 4 March.

There were also unverified reports claiming Natasa was to acquire 70 per cent of Hardik’s property in the divorce settlement.

However, neither Hardik and Natasa nor Hardik’s brother, fellow India cricketer Krunal Pandya, or anyone else from the Pandya household made any statement on the matter so far. And until that happens, it will continue to be treated simply as a rumour.
