Fabian Allen was reportedly attacked and robbed at gunpoint outside a hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa. The West Indies cricketer is currently in South Africa, playing for Paarl Royals in the SA20 league, and the incident has left the cricketer shaken. Ass per a report in Cricbuzz, Allen was attacked by armed assailants near the Sandton Sun Hotel, where the Paarl Royals team is staying. The robbers took away Allen’s phone, personal belongings and a bag after threatening him at gunpoint. “Our head coach Andre Coley, also hailing from Jamaica, reached out to Fabian. Contact was successfully established through Obed McCoy (another West Indies international). He is fine. CSA (Cricket South Africa) and his team, Paarl Royals, could share more details if there are any,” a top CWI official was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz. There’s no official confirmation about the incident yet. Talking about SA20 league, four matches are left in the tournament with playoffs set to begin on Tuesday. Durban’s Super Giants will take on Sunrisers Eastern Cape in first playoff on 6 February followed by a game between Paarl Royals and Joburg Super Kings on Wednesday. The final playoff match is scheduled for Thursday. while the final will take place on Saturday (10 February).
