India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife Dhanashree hit back at online trolls while opening up on her decision to step away from social media, especially photo and video-sharing platform Instagram, for a bit.
Dhanashree had been subjected to incessant trolling after uploading an image of her with choreographer Pratik Utekar that has since been deleted, but not before it went viral. Dhanashree was part of the 11th season of dancing reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, where she had been granted a wildcard entry and would end up among the finalists.
In a video posted on Instagram on Saturday, Dhanashree said the trolling had affected her “near and dear ones”
“It’s that simple to ask and be a human first, then to put forward certain verdicts or opinions.”
“I have never in my life been affected by trolls or memes because definitely had a lot of maturity in ignoring or laughing it out loud until this very recent troll occurred. The reason it has affected me this time is because it has affected my family and my near and dear ones,” she said in the video.

More ShortsDhanashree also explained the reason behind her decision to step away from social media for a bit.
“Since you all have the freedom on social media platforms to speak your heart and characters out, that you tend to forget or choose to ignore the sentiments of us and our families. This led to the decision of me taking a detox from social media and trust me, it was very peaceful,” Dhanashree added.
Dhanashree happens to be a dance choreographer herself with more than six million followers on Instagram, and is quite popular for her reels that she not only makes with husband Chahal but with other cricketers such as Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Jos Buttler and others.
