Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings preview: An in-form Chennai Super Kings (CSK) begin favourites against Delhi Capitals (DC) as the two teams lock horns in Match 13 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. CSK have won two out of two matches and are on top of the points table. In contrast, DC, led by Rishabh Pant, have lost both their opening games to Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).
DC will hope David Warner and Mitchell Marsh get them off to fiery starts with the bat. Warner showcased signs of his explosiveness with a 34-ball 49 against RR, which included five fours and three sixes. Tristan Stubbs, who scored a 23-ball 44, also showed that he can somewhat fit in as the role of a finisher for DC, but against CSK, that is going to be an uphill task.

CSK, meanwhile, have got off to a positive start in the Ruturaj Gaikwad era. They beat Riyal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by six wickets before decimating Gujarat Titans (GT) by 63 runs in the second match. Depth in batting has been a highlight of CSK across both thematches, but these are still early days of the tournament.
Mustafizur Rahman has been CSK’s best bowler thus far with six wickets. He registered figures of 4/29 against RCB and followed that up with figures of 2/30 against GT, and once again, against DC, the Bangladesh pacer will be the go to man for CSK.
