In the 32nd over, Maheesh Theekshana delivered one wide down the leg side to David Willey. While it was called a wide by the umpire, Theekshana soon noticed Adil Rashid stepping out of the crease at the non-strikers’ end, and alerted wicketkeeper Kiusal Mendis, who then was prompt with the throw.

Rashid was eventually adjudged out for two runs. Theekshana would later finish with figures of 1/21 from 8.2 overs. At the time of writing this report, Sri Lanka were 43/2 in eight overs, having lost Kusal Perera and Kusal Mendis.
