Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter Abhishek Sharma scored his team’s fastest IPL fifty on Wednesday after he got to the milestone in just 16 minutes during the game against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Uppal. Abhishek broke the team record, just moments after Travis Head had initially set that record after reaching his fifty in 18 deliveries.
Head had broken fellow Australian David Warner’s record. Warner had scored a 20-ball fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2017. Moises Henriques, who has also played for SRH, had also amassed a 20-ball fifty against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in 2015.
