A comparison of the fastest and slowest fifties in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 by Sam Billings has led to the trolling of former Pakistan captain Babar Azam. England wicketkeeper-batter Billing, who plays for Lahore Qalandars, on Wednesday posted a graphic on his Instagram story which spoke about the fastest and slowest fifties in PSL 2025.
While Billings has smashed the fastest fifty so far in just 19 balls against Quetta Gladiators, the slowest fifty belongs to Babar, a 47-ball half-century for Peshawar Zalmi against Islamabad United. It has to be noted that both fifties came in different conditions and winning causes.
Babar trolled over Billings’ Instagram story
However, the Billings’ Instagram story has led to a barrage of criticism and trolling for Babar, who has often faced fire for T20 innings that are seen as slow and adhering to the old-time approach.
One of the users was quick to point out that Billings has himself trolled Babar by sharing the graphics.
“Bro Cooked Babar,” he wrote.
Similar reactions were shared by multiple users. We have listed some of the reactions.
“Bro is getting trolled in his own country’s league by a foreign player,” another user wrote.
“Really he uploaded this story ?” a surprised fan asked.
“Only Babar could miss a 50 (off 50 balls) in T20 by 3 deliveries. Incredible stuff,” another fan wrote.
Meanwhile, the PSL is set to return from 17 May with Peshawar Zalmi facing Karachi Kings in the first match. The league was halted abruptly last week due to the India-Pakistan conflict.
“HBL PSL X picks up from where it left off,” PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “6 teams, 0 fear. Get ready for 8 thrilling matches starting 17th May, leading up to the Grand Final on 25th May. Best of luck to all the teams!”
