Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant was brutally trolled on social media after another poor performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 . In the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday, Pant could only score 7 runs from 6 balls before getting out to Eshan Malinga.
Rishabh Pant trolled by fans
Pant has scored just 128 runs in 12 matches so far, and fans are very disappointed with him. He became the most expensive player ever in IPL auction history when LSG bought him for Rs 27 crore, but he hasn’t performed as expected. After another failure with the bat, people on social media criticised him for not scoring enough and also made fun of how much he cost.

Rishabh Pant is the worse batter ever to play white bowl cricket and he should be nowhere near India's T20I & ODI setup!! pic.twitter.com/8dLkoqrIDt

Rishabh Pant is the most overrated batter in white ball. It's a shame Sanju Samson missed out on a spot in odis for this guy.@imAagarkar @GautamGambhir pic.twitter.com/72KTTAkPwA

More ShortsMust-win match for LSG
LSG are on the brink of elimination from the IPL 2025 playoff race. They must win their encounter against SRH to stay alive in the contest. LSG are required to win all their remaining matches if they want to qualify for the playoffs. Even if LSG win all their games and reach 16 points, they will need results of other teams to go their way due to poor Net Run Rate (NRR).
LSG are in a three-way battle for the remaining one spot in the IPL 2025 playoffs. Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals also have a chance to make it to the top 4. Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru have already qualified for the playoffs following GT’s 10-wicket win over DC.
