Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta has strongly reacted after seeing a fake image of her with Rajasthan Royals youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi going viral on social media. The image, which shows Zinta hugging the young cricketer, was clearly edited, but some news websites still used it in their reports.

Her comment came after a news outlet shared an article on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) with the same edited picture. The original post has now been deleted but many social media users pointed out that the photo was of Preity with Suryavanshi.

Suryavanshi’s dream IPL debut

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, just 14 years old, has become one of the biggest talking points of IPL 2025. Playing for Rajasthan Royals, he has impressed fans and experts with his fearless batting and calm presence at the crease. Despite RR having a poor season, Suryavanshi’s performance has been one of the few positives.

In his final league stage game on Tuesday, Suryavanshi smashed 57 off 33 balls and helped Rajasthan Royals beat Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets. In just his third game of the season, he hit the second-fastest century in IPL history and became the youngest-ever to do so.
