Mohammad Waheed

Mohammad Waheed, born on 15 September 2003, is a right-arm medium-pace bowler and right-handed batter who represents Hong Kong at the international level. A product of Hong Kong’s domestic cricket setup, he has turned out for sides such as Hong Kong A, the Kowloon Lions, the Hong Kong Islanders, and the Pakistan Association of Hong Kong, steadily building his reputation as a pace option for the national team.

Waheed made his T20 International debut for Hong Kong in September 2023 against Papua New Guinea. By the time of the Asia Cup in 2025, Waheed remained on the fringes of Hong Kong’s setup, still very young at just 22. His limited exposure at the highest level meant opportunities were yet to fully open up for him, but his inclusion in squads highlighted the faith the selectors had in his potential.
