Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi will not continue what has been the norm for the board in recent past. Reports have been emerging that Pakistan will go for sweeping changes after they were eliminated at the Super 8 stage of the recent T20 World Cup.
Now the latest report from Geo News claims that no big changes are being planned and Pakistan will trust their current captain and coach to deliver results in long term.

Job of Hesson, Agha safe
Pakistan could not impress much in the recent T20 Word Cup as they could not beat a single higher-ranked side and eked out close wins against lower-ranked Sri Lanka and even non-Test-playing Netherlands. This performance led to speculations over the future of Salman Ali Agha as the captain of the side. Head coach Mike Hesson's job also was under threat.
However, Geo New now states that PCB will continue with the duo in this format. Quoting sources, the publication said that the board had opted against making changes to the captaincy or coaching staff across formats. PCB, as per the report, is now prioritising continuity and backing its current leadership with confidence.
If this is to be believed then Agha will retain his job as captain of the T20I team and Hesson will remain the coach for both white ball formats. Hesson will work with Shaheen Shah Afridi in the 50-over format with the 2027 Cricket World Cup in sight.
The Test team will see a change after the resignation of Azhar Mehmood as the head coach. Former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been appointed to fill the vacancy as Test head coach.
While Aleem Dar has resigned from the selection committee, the board will not make big changes here as well with all other members expected to stay.
