The Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL) produced a unique and emotional moment today in Match 8 when Afghanistan’s legendary all-rounder Mohammad Nabi bowled to his own son, Hassan Eisakhil and got hit for a massive six.
This rare father-son battle happened during the first innings of the game between Amo Region and Mis Ainak Region. Eisakhil, playing for Amo Sharks, showed no mercy to his father, smashing him for 12 runs in the over along with his partner Shahidullah. Nabi was soon removed from the attack after the punishment.
A Son vs. Father moment, followed by some delightful strokes from Hassan Eisakhil to bring up his half-century. 🤩👏

Nabi had earlier expressed his desire to play with his son for Afghanistan at the highest level. “It’s my dream. Hopefully we can do it. He is doing very well … he is a hard worker and I’m also pushing him to do work.”
“I want him to make his own goals, if you want to get to be a high-level cricketer, you have to work hard. It’s not enough to make 50 or 60, you have to score 100-plus. He’s listening and pushing all the time. When he can talk to me, I try to give him advice to give him confidence for the game.”
Eisakhil’s classy fifty takes Amo to 162
Hassan Eisakhil played a superb knock, scoring 52 runs off 36 balls at a strike rate of 144.44. He hit some delightful strokes and gave his team a solid platform. Amo Sharks eventually scored 162 all-out in 19.4 overs. They suffered a collapse towards the backend despite the strong start from Eisakhil and Shahidullah.
Amo lost five wickets in the last 12 balls that they played and scored just six runs. For Mis Ainak Knights, Naveed Zadran picked up four wickets, while Khalil Gurbaz took three. Mujeeb Ur Rahman took two wickets under his belt.
