Melbourne weather forecast: Brace yourself for another rain-marred T20I between India and Australia as the second match takes place at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Friday (31 October). The first T20I was also abandoned due to rain at Canberra on Wednesday.
While the fans would hope to see a full game at MCG after the opening game disappointment, they could face more disappointment. As per the weather forecast, there’s a solid 92% probability of precipitation in Melbourne on Friday (31 October).

It wasn’t raining at the time this report was published and the temperature was around 19 degrees Celsius. But dark clouds were covering. The match starts at local time 7.15 PM (1.45 PM IST) and as per AccuWeather, there are 52% chances of rain around 6 PM local time (12.30 PM IST).
The probability of precipitation is 48% at 7 PM local time, that is, 15 minutes before the first ball is bowled. The good news is that the probability of precipitation reduces to 8 PM local time and stays around the same till midnight. But as we have seen earlier, the weather has been quite unpredictable in Australia this season.
Basis the forecast, we can expect a delayed start, multiple interruptions due to rain during the match and even a washout in the worst-case scenario.
The fans, however, would be hoping for some high-octane clash at the MCG with tickets being sold out in advance. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav also found his form back in the opening match with 39 not out and he would hope for another good outing.
Abhishek Shamra could only make 19 in the first T20I after India lost the toss, but the iconic MCG is where he would aim to re-establish his credentials and become teh cynosure of the T20 world.
