Two of the most expensive players will collide when Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Tuesday (1 April). LSG is captained by Rishabh Pant who was bought for Rs 27 crore in the IPL 2025 auction, making him the most expensive player in the history of the tournament. PBKS are captained by Shreyas Iyer who fetched Rs 26.75 crore at the auction moments before Pant broke his record.
Both LSG and PBKS are also on two points currently, however, Lucknow have already played two games, losing one to Delhi Capitals (DC). Their one win so far came against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), while PBKs defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) in their only IPL 2025 game so far.
Both teams have spent a lot of money in the IPL 2025 auction and are hoping to win their first IPL title, however, a strong start is imperative for that and they will look to win Tuesday’s contest to continue their winning momentum.
