IPL 2025 to see new rules
Coming to the IPL 2025.
The BCCI has reportedly made a few rule changes to make the upcoming season more competitive . Teams bowling second will have the option to use a second new ball from the 11th over to counter dew.
The BCCI has also decided against banning captains for slow-over rate offences. Instead, IPL team captains will be handed demerit points.
Another major change is using Hawk-Eye to judge off-side and head-high wides. The wide line will move with the batter and the TV umpire will use Kawk-eye to make the calls, bringing more fairness to the decision-making process.
