The signings of Starc and Cummins broke the previous records for the costliest signings in the history of IPL. The previous most expensive buy was England’s Sam Curran. The England player had joined Punjab Kings for Rs 18.50 crore. The other most expensive signings in IPL history include: Cameron Green to Mumbai Indians for Rs 17.50 crore, Ben Stokes to Chennai Super Kings for Rs 16.25 crore - a joint record with South Africa’s Chris Morris.
