The (Indian Premier League) IPL 2026 season is set to begin soon and fans are excited not only about the matches but also about the new playing kits of all 10 teams. Every season, franchises come up with new jerseys and designs, and this year will be no different.
The 19th edition of the world’s biggest T20 league will feature 10 teams. The tournament will take place across several venues in the country from March 28 to May 31. The opening match will be held in Bengaluru, the home city of defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who will face Sunrisers Hyderabad.

While some teams have not made many changes, others have completely revamped their jerseys for the upcoming season. Lucknow Super Giants are one of the teams that have launched a brand-new jersey with a stripe element. They have kept the blue and red colours in the design.
Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals have also made some significant changes to their designs, with the 2008 champions going back to blue as their dominant colour instead of pink, which they had used in the past few seasons.
The designs of the jerseys for Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad have also changed slightly, but not too much. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans are the two teams that have kept almost identical designs from last season, with only a few minor changes.

Meanwhile, several teams have been hit by the absence of key players ahead of the start of the season. Kolkata Knight Riders have lost three of their pacers to injuries, while Sunrisers Hyderabad will also miss two key players, including captain Pat Cummins.
