Rajasthan Royals’ young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi lit up the IPL 2025 with a breathtaking innings, smashing a century off just 35 balls against Gujarat Titans on Monday in Jaipur. With this knock, the 14-year-old became the youngest ever player to score a T20 century and also registered the second-fastest century in IPL history. He missed out on Chris Gayle’s record of a 30-ball ton in IPL 2013.
Suryavanshi, playing like a seasoned pro, showed no fear even when facing Rashid Khan, one of the world’s top bowlers. In a special moment, he pulled Rashid over deep mid-wicket for a six to bring up his historic hundred. As he removed his helmet to celebrate, the entire Jaipur crowd rose to their feet, even Rahul Dravid left his wheelchair, applauding the young star.
Suryavanshi hits 7 consecutive boundaries to reach his ton
The young batter went on a rampage against the Gujarat Titans’ bowling attack. In one over bowled by debutant Afghan pacer Karim Janat, Suryavanshi smashed 30 runs, hitting three sixes and three fours, showing no mercy. He scored 94 runs in just 34 balls before hammering Rashid Khan for a six to complete his century.
