The IPL 2025 was suspended last week due to the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan. Amid a war-like situation, the BCCI was forced to postpone the league for a week keeping in mind the safety of all stakeholders. This after the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match in Dharamsala was disrupted because of a blackout following strikes on several Indian cities by Pakistan.
India and Pakistan reached a full and immediate ceasefire agreement on Saturday. The BCCI held a meeting next day to discuss the resumption of IPL 2025. It has now been decided that the league will restart from 17 may onwards and the final will take place on 3 June.
