The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season is all set to kick off with a match between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens on 22 March. For the IPL 2025 season, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to continue the previous trend, where the winner will receive INR 20 crore, with the runner-up earning around INR 13 crore.
Apart from the two finalists, the two losing teams in the playoffs will also receive cash prizes, along with individual awards for top performers, including the Orange Cap (highest run-scorer), Purple Cap (highest wicket-taker), and Emerging Player of the Tournament.

2008-2009: The winners received INR 4.8 crore, while the runner-up earned INR 2.4 crore.
