Left-arm spinner Noor Ahmad led the way with a haul of 4/18 while opener Rachin Ravindra carried his bat through the chase, remaining unbeaten on 65 and forging a vital second-wicket partnership with skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad (53) to ensure the Super Kings got home despite a wobble in the middle overs.
CSK and RCB had met twice last season, with both teams winning one game each. Then-defending champions Chennai beat Bengaluru in the 2024 season-opener at Chepauk by six wickets. RCB, however, would end up landing a knockout punch on CSK at the Chinnaswamy in the business end of the season, advancing to the playoffs at their opponents' expense with a 27-run victory .
