Pace-bowling all-rounder Rana, who made his Test debut in Australia and picked 4 wickets in two matches, was also part of the India A squad which played two unofficial Tests against England Lions. Rana, 23, played just one match for India A and took one wicket and scored 16 runs.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old pacer Mukesh Kumar also played in one of the matches for India A and took three wickets. Bengal pacer Mukesh has already played three Test matches for India so far and has taken seven wickets.
With just a few days to go, Mukesh has shared a cryptic post on Instagram, which fans are connecting with his Team India snub. “Karma bides its time. You will always have to watch out. Karma is unforgiving and always get payback,” he wrote on Instagram.

You can really feel Mukesh Kumar’s frustration. He’s toiled hard, picked up around 44 wickets in his last 11 domestic games. Meanwhile, someone like Harshit Rana, with barely 13 domestic matches under his belt, gets retained in the squad.
