The Lucknow T20 would be another opportunity for India captain Suryakumar Yadav to find some form, having registered scores of 12, 5 and 12 in the last three matches. The T20 World Cup 2026 is only two months away and India would hope to have their skipper in the best form possible.

SKY’s teammate Shivam Dube, who came for the pre-match press conference on Tuesday, backed his skipper to rediscover his form at the best time.
“He is one of the best players. No one can do what he can. Yes, he is short of runs, but his form will return at the right time. He can blast out the opposition any moment,” Dube said.
“He is a fighter. Whether he’s scoring runs or not, he remains the same. He always wants to do something for the team. The 360-degree stroke-maker that he is, he is an innovative and threatening player.”
Meanwhile, South Africa would hope to put up a much better batting performance after getting bowled out for just 117 in the last match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium.
