India vs Pakistan LIVE Score, Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 Match: India and Pakistan are ready for their second meeting at the Asia Cup 2025. This time in a Super 4 match. Pakistan lost the group game against India by seven wickets, but it’s the boycott drama that has dominated the headlines. Indian players also refused to shake hands with Pakistan players in the Group A match and we can see a repeat of that today. We may also see some sort of protest from the Pakistan team in the match against India as they continue boycotting press conferences. Nonetheless, a cricket match is won on the field, and so far, Pakistan have proven to be the second-best. They will need to improve their game drastically to beat India, while the Men In Blue will do well to avoid any complacency.

Ashwin's low IQ dig at former Pakistan players over their comments on Suryakumar Yadav and handshake controversy

“I am a cricketer. Whatever love and respect I receive today is because of the things I’ve done on the cricket field. Yes, sometimes we may speak beyond the boundary line, and someone might even find value in it. But there are things best left to the experts. When we step into areas we don’t understand, it gets dirty. I read a beautiful comment recently, and it’s something I will carry with me for the rest of my life — never argue with people below your IQ level. Because they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. He will never try to come to your level. But because you have common sense. You apply logic. You will try to understand at their level. You have lost. You have lost in life. So, I would say. Please don’t go to their level. Because if you do. You will lose on their playing field. You will lose easily.”

Expect another slow and dry surface at the Dubai International Stadium. Former PCB chief Najam Sethi has revealed that Pakistan was ready to boycott the Asia Cup after the handshake controversy

Sethi revealed the current PCB chief had made up his mind to boycott the Asia Cup after Indian players refused to shake hands with Pakistan players and ICC declined their request to remove match referee Andy Pycroft. However, the decision was overturned due to fear of heavy financial sanctions.

“The decision was already taken. The mood was such that, ‘under public pressure, let’s boycott. Let the Asia Cup go to hell, let the ICC go to hell.’ My attitude has always been that you should stay within legal boundaries and not leave the international arena. When I was called, my friends told me, ‘Don’t go, don’t support him.’ I hadn’t gone to support Mr. Mohsin Naqvi. I went to help the Pakistan Cricket Board,” Sethi told Samaa TV.

“If what he was attempting had succeeded, Pakistan would have suffered irreparable damage. We could have been sanctioned by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), penalized by the International Cricket Council (ICC), foreign players might have refused to play in the PSL, and we stood to lose $15 million in ACC broadcasting rights. It would have been an existential crisis for PCB.”

India vs Pakistan Asia Cup Match LIVE Updates: Even former Pakistan wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal is unhappy with his team for press conference boycott

Akmal feels Pakistan boycotting the press conference is a sign that the team is lacking confidence.

“This is the thing that needs to be faced. Show confidence, and come to meet the media. Players should have come. It will be known that we haven’t fallen in confidence and we shall do well. Salman Ali Agha should come with courage and face the media. If the captain goes on backfoot, the team also will go similarly. It tells me that there is no confidence, how will the team play the match?” Akmal said.

“If you had put your views across, then the pressure would have shifted to the Indian team. Their media would have questioned them. This was a great chance, he could have come, talked about the previous incident or talk about their preparation.”

India vs Pakistan Asia Cup Match LIVE Updates: Former Pakistan batter Basit Ali criticise his team for press conference boycott

Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali has criticised the poor mind games from the Pakistan team and questioned the reason for boycotting the press conference.

“This is the wrong attitude. So you wont do PC after match also or won’t do before? Karenge na? The leader (Salman Ali Agha) should have come and could have said if the handshake question was posed, that we won’t have a handshake now. These guys don’t know how to play mind games,” Ali told Ary News.

“Who is the guilty party here? Suryakumar didn’t shake hands, na? Then why Agha isn’t turning up for the press conference and acting as if he and Pakistan are the guilty party?” Basit added.

“The Indian team hasn’t been challenged yet. The Super 4s is when we’ll find a little more competition. That said, they’re always dangerous, and in this format, you can’t take anyone lightly. There’s still a clear difference in quality between India and Pakistan at the moment, but Pakistan remains a dangerous side.”

India vs Pakistan Asia Cup Match LIVE Updates: Will Pakistan stage protest on Sunday after cancelling pre-match press conference?

That’s an interesting question. After cancelling the press conference on the eve of the match, PCB head Mohsin Naqvi was seen meeting the players during the training session in Dubai. He was asked by the media about the cancelled press conference, but he refused to give a straight reply. After a lot of persistence, he only said, “…we will talk soon.”

Maybe Naqvi was suggesting that some sort of symbolic protest may take place from the Pakistan side during the Super 4 match vs India, just as Men In Blue players refused to shake hands in the first game. ( READ MORE )

It has been the burning topic ever since Indian players refused to shake hands with Pakistan players after their first match in the Asia Cup 2025. “Our government and BCCI – we were aligned today,” Suryakumar said. “Rest, we took a call [about not shaking hands]. We came here to just play the game. We have given a proper reply.”

Which day is the India vs Pakistan match? The Super Sunday clash between India and Pakistan will take place today – 21 September

India and Pakistan clash again in the Asia Cup 2025, this time in a Super 4 match. The top two teams from Super 4 will qualify for the final. India won all their group matches, while Pakistan suffered their only defeat against India.

India vs Pakistan LIVE Score, Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 Match: Suryakumar Yadav India will look to continue their winning momentum against Pakistan in their first Super 4 match in the Asia Cup 2025 on Sunday (21 September), which will take place at the Dubai International Stadium. India won all three of their group matches, including the first one against Pakistan by seven wickets.

The last Sunday India vs Pakistan match was marred by a handshake controversy as Indian players refused to shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts to express solidarity with the Phalagam terror attack. A lot has happened since then, as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) demanded action against match referee Andy Pycroft for asking the captains not to shake hands at the toss and threatened to boycott the match against the United Arab Emirates. They eventually played against the UAE, with the match getting delayed by an hour as the ICC rejected their demands.

IND vs PAK Round 2 offers more drama

Pakistan has boycotted the press conferences since then, including on the eve of the Super 4 match against India on Saturday. And we may see Pakistani players stage a protest of their own during the match against India on Sunday.

Meanwhile, we also expect the Indian team to continue their no-handshake policy with the Pakistani players, which only promises another spicier contest. However, things may not be as spicy as that on the field, as Pakistan has proven to be a shadow of their past self.

They were easily bulldozed by India in the Group A game after being bowled out for just 127 as Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets. Besides Kuldeep, Indian bowling has multiple threats, including Varun Chakaravarthy and Jasprit Bumrah. The Pakistani batters will need to up their game to the next level to pose a challenge against India, while Suryakumar and his team should avoid any complacency.

We will bring you all the live updates, scores and commentary from the India vs Pakistan match here on our live blog.
