India and Pakistan will be facing each other for an unprecedented third time in the ongoing Asia Cup less than 24 hours from now with the two arch-rivals set to battle it out for the trophy in the final . India are the only team so far to have not lost a single match, beating Pakistan in the group stage as well as in their rematch in the Super 4s – both of which took place on Sundays.

With their Super Over victory over Sri Lanka in the high-scoring thriller that played out at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday, the Suryakumar Yadav-led Men in Blue are now ‘6-0’ in the ongoing tournament, and will be aiming to sign off with a perfect record and the trophy once again in their possession come Sunday.

Pakistan, on the other hand, have been scratchy, but have somehow managed to keep their campaign alive. After nearly catching an early flight back home following the boycott drama in the group stage, the Salman Agha-led side clinched their place in the final with victories over Sri Lanka and Bangladesh – beating the latter by just 11 runs .

The upcoming face-off between the two arch-rivals will be a historic one given this will be the first India-Pakistan final in the 41-year history of the Asia Cup – across the ODI and T20I formats.
