The Indian cricket team kicks off its ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle with a five-match Test series against England, starting on 20 June. With Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma now retired from Tests, India are in for a daunting challenge against Ben Stokes and Co., but those who remember the famous win in Gabba would be well aware of the fact that a young Team India can be unpredictable and dangerous.
India will be captained by Shubman Gill as the 25-year-old has been made the new Test leader of the side under the coaching guidance of Gautam Gambhir. He now faces the challenge of helping India win their first Test series in England since 2007.

India have only won three Test series in England. Besides 2007, the two other Test series wins came in 1971 and 1986.
