What a performance to seal the group stage! Three wins from three games. India maintained their perfect record in Group B, securing a dominant victory to finish the group stage unbeaten. The bowlers set the tone early, strangling the opposition to set up a modest DLS target of 130. Despite an early hiccup with the loss of Aaron George, India’s chase was never in doubt. Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi dismantled the attack with a high-octane partnership, both striking at over 150. While Vaibhav Sooryavanshi provided the initial spark, Ayush Mhatre anchored the chase with a commanding half-century, ensuring India crossed the line with ease.

Earlier in the rain-truncated 37-over contest, New Zealand U-19 struggled to adapt to damp conditions, crumbling to an underwhelming 135 all out despite late resistance from Callum Samson and Selwin Sanjay. The Kiwi top order was dismantled by a disciplined Indian bowling attack, initiated by the probing seam movement of RS Ambrish and Henil Patel and sustained by the stifling spin trio of Khilan Patel, Kanishk Chouhan, and Mohammad Enaan. Backed by committed fielding on a soggy outfield, India U-19 capitalized on the loose shots of their opponents to deliver a commanding performance.

It was a tough day at the office for the New Zealand bowling attack, as they struggled to find their rhythm and were put to the sword right from the first ball. While Mason Clarke, Jaskaran Sandhu, and Selwin Sanjay managed to break through with a wicket apiece, they simply couldn’t stem the flow of runs. They never truly looked like they could force a result.
