The 2025 Asia Cup Rising Stars has now reached the knockout stage, where India A will face Bangladesh A in the first semifinal on Friday , November 21 in Doha. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 PM IST at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium. Pakistan A will play Sri Lanka A in the second semifinal later in the day.
India A entered the tournament as one of the favourites, and they started with a huge win. 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi stunned everyone by hitting a 32-ball hundred against the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the joint-second fastest T20 ton by an Indian batter. India A won the game by 148 runs.
However, the Jitesh Sharma-led side had a tough outing against Pakistan Shaheens in their next match and ended up losing by 8 wickets. They recovered well in their final league match against Oman, where Harsh Dubey played an important innings to help the team get a win and a place in the semifinals.
Bangladesh A have also shown good form in the tournament. They finished on top of Group A after two identical eight-wicket wins, first against Hong Kong China and then against Afghanistan A. Their only loss came against Sri Lanka A in the last league match.
With a place in the final on the line, fans can expect a close and exciting contest in Doha tonight.
